HOW TO INSTALL A 50-MINUTE TIMER
TOOLS NEEDED: 1/4" Nut Driver or Flathead Screwdriver, Phillips Screwdriver, and Allen Wrench (supplied.)
NOTE: For easier installation of your replacement timer, completely remove the electrical cover from the attached electrical raceway. This is completed by disconnecting the ground wire, and the main electrical supply wire.
Carefully examine how these are wired as you will need to reconnect these wires prior to re-installing your electrical cover.
Shut off power at service entrance before rewiring or servicing this product.
Open electrical panel by removing the hex screw found at the top of the raceway.
Next remove the hex screw found at the bottom of the raceway.
Remove the timer knob. Use the Allen Wrench (supplied) to loosen the set screw. Gently pry the knob off using a flathead screwdriver.
Remove the three 7 x 1/4" Phillips head screws found where the timer knob was removed.
Turn the raceway over and remove the three flag connectors from terminals on old timer.
Replace the connector onto #3 terminal of the new timer using the 13" long black wire.
Replace the connector onto #2 terminal of the new timer using the 6" black wire.
Replace the connector onto #7 terminal of the new timer using the 6" white wire.
Place shaft of new timer through hole in raceway with the three terminals pointing towards cut-off switch.
Turn raceway back over and screw the three 7 x 1/4" Phillips head screws on front of raceway (snug but do not over tighten.) You may need to align screwholes before inserting screws.
Then replace timer knob on new timer by gently pushing onto shaft. Use allen wrench to tighten set screw.
Reconnect the ground wire and electrical supply wire prior to re-installing electrical cover. Replace hex head screws in top and bottom of raceway. Restore power to unit.
